Creating music is sharing feelings with the world. And this simple need to overflow these feelings is responsible for Shadow Movement’s incessant search for new textures and rhythms in dance music.
Rafael Bartel was discovered by the experient Brazilian producer Ale Reis in mid-2014, when Shadow Movement had a surprising reach right on his first release: “I.D.”, released by Gui Boratto’s D.O.C. Records, reached the top of the charts and got support from renowned artists such as Maceo Plex, Stephan Bodzin and Solomun, just to name a few. The German Mixmag defined the EP as “a very successful album that leaves you wanting more”. After that, the name Shadow Movement became a constant behind acclaimed singles, EPs and also in the case of DJs around the world.
The project is orchestrated by the brilliant and creative mind of Rafael Bartel. His gigs at remarkable venues such as Hive Club (Zurich), Le Sucre (Lyon), Amsterdam Dance Event (Amsterdam), Tomorrowland Brasil, Warung Beach Club, Carlos Capslock and showcase in the Boiler Room show have transformed the studio wizard into a respected selector.
